This is a series of photos I shot, on film, in January of 2006 when I visited family in Panama. Most of these photos were taken in San Francisco de Veraguas, a small, rural town in the center of the country. Above is a photo of my grandmother's hands. She gave birth to 12 children, and has already outlived two.
